Frequently Asked Questions

What does CPL mean and is the CPL class the same as a CCW class?

CPL is the acronym for Concealed Pistol License.  The terms CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons permits) and CPL are often used interchangeably and to describe the license issued to carry a concealed handgun.  Michigan does not issue CCWs.  Michigan residents may obtain a Concealed Pistol License which allows them to carry one or more pistols concealed on their person.
