NRA First Steps Pistol
Course Goal:
To provide beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a specific pistol model safely.
Course Pre-requisites: None
Course Overview:
- Introduction to Pistol Safety, Parts, and Operation
- Introduction to Ammunition and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
- Introduction to Pistol Shooting from the Benchrest Position
- Introduction to Pistol Cleaning, Storage, and Training Opportunities
Course Length: 3-4 hours Cost: $35 ( includes use of a .22cal pistol, eye & ear protection)
What Student Needs to Bring to Class
- Note pad & pencil
- Ball Cap
- A good attitude and a willingness to learn
- Snacks/Water/Pop (optional)
OPTIONAL
- Your own pistol, if you have one, with 50 rounds of ammo
(NO magnum ammo - i.e. 357mag; 44mag; 357sig)
- Your own Eye and Ear protection
